We are all aware of the immense impact COVID – 19 has had on our everyday lives and the way we have had to adapt our routines and social skills in an unimaginable way.
At Wooden Tops, we realise the importance of the continuity of developing social skills and communication levels during this very uncertain time to enable us to support our children’s mental and physical wellbeing whilst providing structure, support, and reassurance.
There has had to be several changes made within the nursery in adherence with Government guidance to ensure all children, parents, staff and visitors are kept as safe as practicably possible.
Risk assessments are in place to identify, minimise and remove risks regarding the environment, general practice, vulnerable children and staff and the supply of PPE.
Changes have been made to session times to reduce the risk of transmission at busy periods, and parents/carers will be required to follow the requests we have implemented regarding safe distancing and following our visible instructions on access and egress of the nursery.
At Wooden Tops, it is our main aim to provide our children and staff with a safe and secure learning environment to thrive in and to deliver an adjusted curriculum that reflects the challenges our children are currently experiencing.
Our committed and dedicated nursery team continue to provide a variety of exciting activities for both targeted purposes and group activities and are delivered in a COVID safe manner.
All parents and carers concern at this difficult time are heard and not judged, and therefore in the event, it is preferred for children not to attend the setting we will continue to support their education with Home Learning packs that cover all 7 Areas of Learning.
We understand how key it is that everyone needs to be supported more than ever, and the support we deliver extends to all parents and carers.
We have an open-door policy where someone will always take your call, reply to your email, or arrange a COVID safe meeting if required.
